Le FIFA

A new documentary called Arthur Erickson: Beauty Between the Lines, will be featured at Le FIFA — the International Festival of Films on Art. The film explores the life and work of the iconic architect and features exclusive material from Erickson’s personal archives. Berish speaks with guest host Dionne Codrington.

Fogo Island – NFB film “The Children of Fogo Island”


This short film from Colin Low presents the problems faced by the people of Fogo Island, Newfoundland and what keeps them committed to the land. Witness some of the magic of the island, as seen through the eyes of children, and understand why its inhabitants cling to its shores.



Fogo Island - Then and Now on June 1, 2010, the NFB, along with the Shorefast Foundation and the Fogo Island Arts Corporation, will be celebrating the opening of a new e-cinema on Fogo Island in Newfoundland.

WASM members in the news!


Diana Bruno - won 2nd place for her photograph “Anomie” at the WASM Juried Art Show and Sale held at the Livart Gallery in April 2019, an historic event for WASM: this was the very first photograph to win a major prize!

Now, Diana will be giving a lecture not to be missed - Apart from Cancer, I’m Perfectly Healthy and Intend to Stay That Way. Saturday, March 22nd at 2 PM. Victoria Hall Community Centre, 4626 Rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Westmount, QC H3Z 1G1.


Diana will tell you if cancer is easier the second time around, about becoming fluent in Medicalese while navigating the healthcare system and getting her active life back.
